Adding to your building
A careful look at recent buildings reveal that a lot of additions are being made: top floors are added to more top floors, balconies are closed with brick walls to create additional space. In the end, you can hardly distinguish the original building from its additional parts.
But this is done quite subtly and with care. I wouldn’t have seen it if Tamuna hadn’t made me notice it.
It even seems some buildings are designed to allow personnal additions.
Looking outside of my window, I just notice this building with the characteristic feature of added top floors and I wonder if it was planned in the original design or added later.
Tamuna’s family lives on the third added floor to a building of 10 floors, so you walk up 3 flights of stairs after the elevator is at the top floor. She has a beautiful terrace overlooking the city and a view at 180 degrees, where she eventually could build an additional place for her studio.
