Gabriadze Puppet Theater

Puppeteers pretend to be invisible on stage, even when they go bareface. I admire, even envy their art. When I have found my Virtual_Artist, I will become invisible too. Rezo Gabriadze has an internationally very famous puppet theater in Tbilissi. I went to see The Battle of Stalingrad, a piece of their repertoire.

The art of the puppeteer is to be manipulated by his puppet. This is my model and my inspiration.

Rezo Gabriadze’s theater has just been renovated. It looks like one of his stage props, like a big toy house.
